Shenan Chuang

Vice Chairman, Ogilvy & Mather Greater China


Shenan has been with Ogilvy Group since 1985. During her tenure, she worked in Ogilvy’s London office in 1990 and relocated to Ogilvy Beijing in 2003. From 2007 to 2014 she served as Ogilvy & Mather Greater China CEO, and in 2015 she was promoted to Vice Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Greater China, a position she currently retains while based long-term in Taiwan. In June 2016, Shenan was appointed Chairwoman of WPP Taiwan.


She has dedicated her professional experience and passion to helping both local and international clients to build powerful brands. Shenan took command of Ogilvy & Mather Greater China at a time of rapid expansion, fostering a unique, dynamic corporate culture and overseeing many pioneering initiatives in China’s communications industry.


In 2014, CNN featured Shenan in their ‘Leading Women of Asia’ series, and in 2013 she was honored in Forbes Asia’s ‘Women in the Mix’ special issue. Shenan was also awarded ‘Agency Head of the Year’ by Campaign magazine in 2006 and 2010. As an avid writer, she has translated The Unpublished David Ogilvy into Chinese and serves as the Chief Editor of O&M China‘s quarterly magazine, Viewpoint. She is currently a columnist for CommonWealth Magazine,and an advisory committee member of Social Enterprise Revolving Trust (SERT).
