Jessica Chang

Founder and Chairperson, JPC Connectivity

Over more than three decades, Jessica Chang built her JPC Connectivity into a supplier of critical components that are much in demand today by AI data centers. Previously called Jess-Link Products, the company designs and makes connectivity products such as fiber-optic cables and optical transceivers used to ensure high-speed, seamless data transmission. The Taipei-based company, which competes with Foxconn Interconnect Technology, counts Nvidia and hyperscalers such as Amazon and Microsoft as clients.

JPC’s shares have nearly doubled over the past year to take its market cap to NT$38.7 billion ($1.2 billion). In the first half of 2026, the company’s net profit almost doubled to NT$856 million while revenue rose 26% to NT$4.5 billion. Two-thirds of sales in the period came from products for AI data centers and telecoms and the rest from the autonomous driving and industrial automation segments.

Born into a farming family in a village in Taiwan, Chang, who owns 15% of JPC, studied economics at Taiwan’s Tunghai University while waitressing to earn a living. After graduation, she tried her hand at selling jewelry and electronic-components procurement before founding JPC out of her apartment in 1992 with just one employee; as of 2025, the company had around 2,000 people.
