Managing Director L’Oréal Taiwan


Amy Chen is the Managing Director of L’Oréal Taiwan, being the first female country manager in L’Oréal APAC zone. Now Amy leads 4 business divisions, 17 brands, and nearly 1,200 employees in Taiwan.


Possessing over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Amy has engineered many breakthroughs in Taiwan, and continuously achieved new milestones to foster L’Oréal Taiwan’s business growth & talent development. With her brand management expertise, Amy has successfully integrated Shu Uemura’s acquisition in Taiwan, following that with the launch of several new brands, including Kiehl’s, Armani Cosmetics and YSL. She has also led the company’s digital transformation by implementing many pioneering practices in the industry. In addition to her passion and profession in brand management, her experience in a wide range of channels is very diverse, ranging from mass to luxury and beyond. Striving to actively cultivate cooperation among business partners, Amy leads L’Oréal Taiwan to be awarded the Wastons Best Partner Award, the Far Eastern Group’s Second Largest Group Contribution Award, and Chin Kong Mitukoshi’s Best Group Contribution Award.


Moreover, Amy has extensive cross cultural competencies, having served in expatriate assignments in Paris, Shanghai and USA, each of which have further enriched her visionary leadership and management.


In 2011, L’Oréal Taiwan was awarded the Outstanding Foreign Commerce Agencies and Foreign Firms at the Golden Merchant Awards and Amy was named Super MVP Manger.


Amy is dedicated her commitment in L’Oréal Taiwan’s CSR initiatives in promoting science and education, supporting the prominent “Taiwan Outstanding Women In Science Award” – the first and only award in Taiwan that honors female scientists. For her continuous support women in devoting in science, L’Oréal Taiwan was recognized with the CSR Award by Global View in 2014.


In 2014, Amy was as the Vice-Chairwoman in WOB, and further acted as Chairwoman in 2015. In 2015, Amy was awarded “officier de L’ordre national du Mérite” by Government of France.
